The $7,200 Mistake — When Worry Clouded My Judgment & Made Everything Worse

Have you ever made a decision so bad…
it didn’t just cost you money —
…it cost you your sanity?
The kind that plays on repeat in your mind…
...where you wish you could go back and just do it differently?
Big mistakes can shake us.
They can paralyze us.
They can make us question everything — especially ourselves.
But only for as long as we let them. 🔥
After a decision that could cost me $7,200…
I realized it was costing me something far more sacred:
✨ My peace
✨ My joy
✨ My ability to move forward
How did I get here?
I saw the red flags.
And still… I waved them away.
Not because I was naive.
But because I was exhausted — and clinging to worry.
It was the worry itself that clouded my clarity and led me to override my intuition.
I was desperate for relief.
I wanted control over the unknown.
And so, I grabbed onto a shiny solution that seemed like the answer.
But when fear drives the decision…
it rarely leads to peace.
That’s what worry does:
It hijacks our wisdom.
It distorts our discernment.
And often… it leads to an even bigger mess.
So the deeper question is:
How do we come back from that?
How do we forgive the version of ourselves who acted from fear?
How do we move through the pain and the aftermath we created?
Here’s what’s helped me — maybe it will help you too:
🌟 1. Notice you’re still standing.
You’re here. Reading this. You survived. It’s not the end.
🌟 2. Forgive yourself.
Offer compassion to the version of you who made the decision while just trying to stay afloat.
🌟 3. Tell the truth about what worry has cost you.
Not to shame yourself — but to reclaim your clarity and power.
🌟 4. Surrender - Letting Go.
Turn it over to God — again and again, breath by breath, thought by thought.
It’s not a one-time fix. It’s a practice of choosing peace over punishment every time thoughts enter your mind.
Jesus said:
“Come to me, all who are weary… and I will give you rest.” Thank you for offering to take it for us, Jesus!
🌟 5. And Hold your head high.
You are not your mistake.
Every misstep is part of our evolution — our becoming.
Let it shape you, not shame you. Growth is happening here & growth can sting.
Worry doesn’t solve tomorrow.
But surrender & letting go - creates space:
🕊️ For peace.
🕊️ For clarity.
🕊️ For grace to take your next step.
If you’re sitting in worry or shame or both..., replaying what you wish you could undo…
If worry has blocked your connection to your inner knowing…
I see you. I understand. I’ve lived it.
And if you need help walking through those 5 steps to encounter the peace you're intended for, I’m here. DM me. ❤️🩹
Let’s move forward — not perfectly, but powerfully. 🙌 🎉
